County Lightweight Sport Rifle
Update and results to date
You may recall that I wrote to all the affiliated clubs last year to let you all know that in accordance with the growth of the discipline we were going to introduce an official County Championship for the Lightweight Sport Rifle to provide an official County Ranking. Following the response and feedback gained I have been able to clarify the competition boundaries as follows:-
Competition limited to rifles of .22LR cal or below including air rifles.
Rifle must weigh less than 4.5kg with a trigger weight of more than 500g.
No slings or specialist equipment allowed other than a glove (included in the weight limit).
PL14 or PL14/06: 20 yard pistol targets to be shot in accordance with N.S.R.A. rules.
Stickers must be affixed prior to shooting and witnessed by a club official.
Cards will be self scored this year cutting out the postal charges and work involved, cards must however be retained as samples may be requested for scrutinizing.
All entries will be classified and junior positions allocated.
Competition will be over 10 rounds.
Entry fee to cover costs and the new style winners medals £5.00
Entries including fees must be returned by Monday 24th March 2008.
Entrants must be members of an Essex affiliated Club.
I am now asking for your entries with individuals averages based on the best 4 sets out of the last 5 sets (1 set = 20 shots).
